About

Duncan Industries is an aerospace manufacturing company specializing in precision close tolerance turning, milling, grinding and assembly for the aerospace industry. Our company was established by Tom Duncan in 1944 and has a long history of providing unparalleled quality machined parts. Duncan currently provides non-engine helicopter and tilt-rotor components primarily for Bell Helicopter.

Duncan’s leadership team is headed by our President, Ed Martinez. Ed has over 30 years of experience in the industry. Other members of the executive team are Thanh Phan, General Manager; Troy Shooter, Planning Manager; Sid Dakoria Controller and Cheri Beckerle Owner and Chairwoman.

We have 38 employees and operate from our facility in Santa Fe Springs, CA.

Founded
Duncan Industries was founded by Tom Duncan. Our first location was in downtown LA.
1962
Bell and Duncan
Duncan receives its first purchase order from Bell Helicopter.
1964
Changing Technology
Duncan’s first Swiss grinder is purchased.
1966
SR-71 Blackbird
Top secret SR-71 Blackbird flies. Duncan makes metal-to-metal seals for control surfaces.
1969
Lunar Landing
Neil Armstrong is the first man on the moon. Duncan grinds valve parts for rocket hydraulic controls.
1975
Innovation
Bell 214A main transmission, with Duncan bearing races, runs 1.5 hours without oil. A major technology breakthrough.
1989
Computers and Machining
Duncan runs its first Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine tool. This machine is now an industry staple.
1994
Celebrates 50 years
Duncan Industries founder passed in 1986. Jim Beckerle is made President and continued the commitment of creating quality parts.
2005
V-22 Osprey
Bell’s V-22 Osprey is granted full-rate production. Duncan makes numerous parts for this aircraft.
2010
SBA Award
The SBA names Duncan the Region IX Subcontractor of the year. Jim Beckerle is invited to the White House for this distinction.
2013
Premier Supplier
Bell Textron distinguishes Duncan with its “Premier Supplier” designation.
2020
Small Business Award
Duncan is named by Bell the Small Business of the Year.
2022
WOSB Designation
SBA designates Duncan as a Woman Owned Small Business. Cheri Beckerle heads the company with Ed Martinez as President
